Hi Loren,
ReplyDeleteWow, you are a natural at speaking on video! Great intro. and I am equally excited about what practical lesson we will walk away with. I am also graduating in May and look forward to meeting some of my fellow classmates as well. Good luck!
Loren,
ReplyDeleteI would agree that learning a practical application is a personal goal of mine. I can attest that I have learned something useful in every one of my technology courses at Liberty, so I can only assume this class will be no different. I also graduate in May and am considering traveling to VA for graduation. I look forward to working with you in this course.
Loren,
ReplyDeleteYou are a great speaker; very at ease!
We have a lot in common! My undergrad degree was elementary education with a double major in communication studies; however, I have used NONE of my communications major...hence my LACK of ease with these videos. I, too, am getting my MEd in T&L-Leadership. :) I'm looking forward to putting it to work! You and I will also be graduating in May - I think that's the BEST part, yes?
Practical application is very important regarding technology in education. As I stated on Laurie's blog, many of the "seasoned" teachers think overhead use qualifies as technology integration. "iPad use? Uh, no thanks" is usually the response I get...and FORGET about pushing for a virtual field trip across the grade level! I used to be on top of all the different ways to integrate technology, but not anymore! I'm DEFINITELY not Twitter or Wikispace savvy as of yet...but we should all be pros in about eight weeks, right?
I look forward to getting to know you better over the course of this class and reading more of your thoughts. Best wishes as you finish your degree!
